Munici-Pal
Munici-Pal I developed a tool to help citizens keep informed with the weekly ongoings of their town’s council meetings. See an example of this platform deployed on my hometown, Squamish: Munici-Pal: Squamish Methodology Web scraping to pull each council meeting’s video and agenda. Uses Speech to Text Transcription models Speaker Diarization to understand which person said which parts of the transcript. Dynamic Programming to align the transcript with the given Agenda LLM’s to summarize what was discussed and voted on for each item on the agenda.
Geospatial Squamish River Art
Geospatial Squamish River Art Revealing the underlying scars to the land as the ever-changing flow of the river Squamish cuts through the mountain valleys. In its wake, it leaves behind ox bow lakes, and carved out meandering bends. Towards the mouth of the river, you can see our attempts to control the flow with a series of dikes protecting our town. Methodology Processing BC Hydro LIDAR data with a custom terrain DTM interpolation algorithm in Python that avoids interpolating across the river width.
Drone Based Tree Allometry
Introduction Allometry is the study of how organisms change in relation to proportional changes in their body size. In order to measure the health and growth of a forest, we used drones to fly measure the height and canopy area of each individual tree. From these measures, an estimate of the body mass can be estimated. That body mass was then used in a carbon sequestration measure, so that landowners could sell provable carbon credits.
Archetypes management
The archetypes are defined in the archetypes folder, for both post and portfolio.
Config File
Here is the basic config file used for personal-web.
You can use it as a base for your website.
Open Graph image
Within any page, you can add in the FrontMatter a images array that will be used to define a specific Open Graph image. For example, see content/_index.md page: images: ["/images/sample.jpg"]
